PhD Applicants

I am currently recruiting PhD students with a background and interest in one or more of the following areas:

• Biofluid Mechanics
• Experimental Fluid Dynamics
• Application of Machine Learning for Hemodynamics
• Pulse Wave Analysis
• Microfluidics and Particle Separation

Positions are available for Spring 2026 and Fall 2026. Interested applicants must apply through the UC Merced Graduate Division. Please review the application requirements here.

Prospective students with prior research experience in biomedical flows, hemodynamics, machine learning, hyperbolic PDE simulations, or experimental fluid mechanics are especially encouraged to reach out. Postdoctoral Applicants

I welcome applications from candidates with expertise or strong interest in clinical data analytics, machine learning, and non-invasive diagnostic technologies. Experience in cardiovascular signal processing is preferred but not required. Salaries are competitive, and postdocs receive comprehensive benefit package based on the UC policies. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
